Overview

The City Library offers eBooks and Audiobooks from OverDrive.

eBooks and Audiobooks "check out" like regular library materials. You borrow them for a period of time, often 21 days, and when they are due back, they simply leave your device and become available for the next interested patron. Like other library items, The City Library has a limited number of digital materials—we order individual licenses, and if one patron is using an item, other patrons cannot check them out.

Finding eBooks in the Catalog

In general, all OverDrive eBook and downloadable audiobook titles can be found and checked out directly in The City Library's catalog. While browsing through search results, eBooks are marked with a tablet icon and downloadable audiobooks are marked with a computer and headphones icon . Using the catalog to search is a good option if you are looking for a particular title in any format: eBook, Audiobook, etc.
